The DAOSoft platform

One platform to frame, analyze and manage engineering decisions.

Work from a decision charter to comparison results, a review package and an authorized commitment. DAOSoft connects the analysis, people and evidence behind each step so the decision remains understandable when conditions change.

A connected basis. A history that survives change.Conceptual platform explanation, not a product screenshot. A versioned source reference informs a Study Design, an analytical run and a recommendation within a Decision Review Package. These records remain connected. A person with decision authority makes a separate commitment; an analytical result does not authorize action. After a material source change, the team reviews the affected basis, scopes reanalysis and reviews the updated recommendation. Human authority may reaffirm the commitment or supersede it with a linked successor. The earlier commitment remains retained. The depicted path is illustrative, not a compulsory linear workflow or an automatic revision process. Versioned evidence references connect the Study Design, analytical run and recommendation. Human authority is required for a separate commitment. Material change leads to review of the recorded basis, scoped reanalysis and an updated recommendation. A human may reaffirm or supersede the commitment. Earlier decision records remain retained; external artifact availability depends on the source system and retention arrangements.

1. Frame the question and plan the study.

Define the outcomes, constraints, alternatives, stakeholders and authority in a decision charter. Develop a Study Design: the plan for the evidence, scenarios and methods needed to answer the question.

Build the activity plan with owners, dependencies and review gates. Start with existing alternatives or define components and compatibility rules to explore new combinations.

2. Analyze the alternatives and challenge the basis.

Apply hard requirements before preferences. Compare raw engineering measures alongside value assessments, and examine uncertainty, sensitivity and scenario robustness.

Make stakeholder priorities explicit. Distinguish disputed evidence from different preferences, and show which assumptions or judgments could change the recommendation.

3. Review the recommendation and record the commitment.

Prepare a Decision Review Package: an executive conclusion with access to the alternatives, analytical results, evidence, assumptions and unresolved findings.

Record the authorized commitment separately from the recommendation, with its conditions, responsibilities and follow-up actions. A finished analysis is not the same as permission to act.

4. Reconsider the decision without losing its history.

DAOSoft retains versioned decision records and their links to evidence, analyses, reviews and human commitments. When material evidence changes, inspect the recorded basis and authorize the reanalysis needed. Review the updated recommendation before reaffirming or superseding the commitment; the earlier record remains available.

Link follow-up actions, outcomes and lessons to that record so later teams can assess what is applicable to their own work.

Coordinate decisions across a program.

Connect studies within projects and related projects within programs. A near-term improvement, architecture selection and investment decision can share evidence while retaining distinct owners, deadlines and commitments.

Use AI across the work, with defined responsibilities.

AI Assist helps structure, retrieve, plan and explain. AI Review raises findings for the team to resolve. Delegated Execution supports scoped preparation tasks; accepting evidence and committing the organization remain human responsibilities.

Keep engineering tools in their specialist roles.

DAOSoft structures decision work and compares the measures supplied to the selected study methods. Specialist simulations and engineering models remain in their own environments; their outputs become evidence for the decision.

Engineering systems remain authoritative for their native records. DAOSoft links referenced or imported evidence to decision context and version references. Exchange methods and supported analyses are qualified for the selected tools, study and deployment. Continued access to external artifacts depends on the source systems and agreed retention arrangements.
